June 10th shooting at the National Holocaust Museum
Dov Wilker
The June 10th shooting at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington is a sad reminder of the terrible potential of hate and of what may happen when opinions are carried to the extreme.
It is also sad that this dastardly deed was another strike at the Jewish community, threatening its right to exist.
Once again the shout was heard, "No Jews allowed!" Yet again in a gutless act of bigotry, an effort was made to push around an "unwanted."
Actually, what is to be feared as much as any hooded terrorist or innocent-looking suicide bomber may be an uncontested "noble idea" taken to the extreme - bigotry disguised as just a personal opinion, hate justified as a right, and an unchallenged supremacist ego that claims to be the only true one, the only right one, the only Godly one.
These are bombs waiting to explode, shots waiting to be fired.
